FACING THE HORRIFIC TOEFL TEST

 

I took TOEFL test in UIN Antasari for 2 times. I think my last score is good or at least enough. I forget my score but the latest is around 500 and the latest is higher than the first test score. My first TOEFL test result which I took in Pare was around 400, but the test was just about written test. At the first time, I thought that we would have a good score when we got more fluency in speaking and accuracy in writing. The fact is not that simple, we have to have more vocabularies, good listening, and reading reference. When you are fluency but you only have those general vocabularies, your score may be the same as before and does not satisfy you. However, there are some ways to increase your score.

First, you can take TOEFL test practices as much as possible before you take the real test. Second, you are highly recommended to look for tricks and tips about how to answer TOEFL well, and this is what I usually do. If I know that my TOEFL test is about to begin in a few days later, I will study and look for some tips about how to face TOEFL test. Third, do not get stressed on the day you have the test. You can also stop studying the day before the test because you have already studied a lot before. If you do this way, you will more enjoy your test.

For me, I feel that I have a good understanding when I answer the structure and written expression questions. And then, my ability in answering listening questions is not bad but not really good either.  I sometime get trouble whenever I meet with a new word, but some tips still help me to answer. The trouble is even bigger when I get confused of one question and miss to answer the question. That is why we have to face the TOEFL test in a good condition like I said before. And I think my biggest weakness in answering TOEFL test is on the reading session. I feel that the texts in this session are of course, they mean to make it. Mostly, I did not finish my answer in reading session. The tips are the key, but even if I have read some tips about it, I still get time trouble. This may indicate that reading the tips before answering reading session is not enough. We need to practice more in the other side.

SIMPANG LIMA GUMUL

Kediri is one of the old cities that has lots of charms. Kediri posesses many good places ranging from buildings like temples, the natural tourism place such as Mount Kelud, education places like the Kampung Inggris of Pare and more. One of the nice, spacious and very interesting places is the Simpang Lima Gumul monument. I can say that Simpang Lima Gumul are really big. The entire SLG area is approximately 37 hectares.
