At that time, I came late to the house and the agenda looked
like finished. But it also did not seem like another buka puasa. There was a guy who had just presented a report to all
guests and we all knew that he was a parliament member. For a moment, I realized
that he had just told people about what the government and of course he and
other parliament members had developed in our village, such as roads,
irrigation canals, and all the stuffs.
Next, they opened the discussion. They let everyone, who
wanted to suggest about what things needed to build or develop in the village,
to deliver his suggestion. Some of them asked to renovate the musolla/little masjid, some asked to repair the village road.
He then noted all suggestion and he promised to bring this to parliament.
After that, we prayed and had a conversation. The parliament
guy said that our village road, that we would repair, might soon ruin again if
we still let those big trucks pass. He also stated that the highway could
afford 8 ton of weight while the village road could only afford 6 ton of
weight, so that was why this road only remained for 2 years. If I were him, I
would think how I could build the village road just as strong as the highway.
That would be more efficient than we banned those big trucks to pass. One of
guest also grouched because he is a truck’s driver, but he just talk in a
silent.
I myself do not agree with the parliament guy as well, but I
know the developer of the road also may try to make a lot of money by reducing
the budget of the construction. This is another reason why our country does not
develop because we just think to repair our road every two years. Finally, we
closed our meeting by breaking our fast. By the way, the side dish was a fried duck,
hmm… delicious. I think I will eat that kind of fried duck again after two
years. Wkwk.
